Itunes duplicate songs

I've used NoClone to delete duplicate files in Itunes but when they are removed the songs names remain in library.  You can only find this out by clicking on the song and getting an icon saying file is not found.  Is there any way to delete files from Itunes which are moved completely so they don't show up in the library?  I can do it manually but with 1600+ files it's slow.  My trouble started when I installed a new version of ttunes which couldn't find some of my music files.  I ended up adding all foldere again so I wouldn't

mistakingly delete a song.  This resulted in songs being added twice even three times.

That means you want to delete the duplicate item in iTunes in addition to the physical file? That's a good idea to be implemented in next version.

Just delete the library NOT the files themselves then add the folder to itunes library where the songs are stored and only the remaining files are imported into itunes
I eliminated 18000 duplicates this way after first cleaning the folder with Noclone
Select all the songs in Itunes and click delete but be sure to answer that you want to keep files when prompted
then reimport the files from the appropriate folder
