Ignoring Tags and ratings (Image files) during search

Hi, I'm currently testing this software and found an limitation that might be a little uncomfortable... I don't know if it's because I'm using a trial version, but I tried copying 5 pictures to a folder three times, changing tags on one set, ratings on the second, and nothing on the third... no matches :(

I have ca 250.000 pictures, where there's quite a lot copied from friends etc, so there's sure to be some duplicates that have different tags and/or ratings, so before I decide if I should buy this I need to get an answer to this....

You can try to find similar files:
1. choose Similar files

2. click redefine to set similarity. (by default, it's 90%)

3. Click browse to choose folders to scan

4. Click Search button

It can a bit slow to find similar files and may take hours, so please be patient!

I've tried that now... and it still gives a pretty bad hit ratio on 60%, 70%, 80% and 90%, and that required me to rate the original file multiple times in order to get it recognized.
I don't know much about the way a image file is "built", but isn't there a way to ignore the part of the file that contains information on ratings and tags?
