Sticking on comparing 2899 of 7509 suspected files of size 2.89....mp3 type files..I have 54,000 mp3's and want to find dups...I ran it thru first time and it found 140 dups...but that wasn't all of them it was only small part....settings had Dup files, true byte by byte, mps tags song artist album...2nd changed to similar 80%...found zero...3rd time tryed small one artist folder with several dups exactly the same..mp3 tag settings, custom and exact, true byte nothing..4th time on small file again took mp3 setting off, similar 80%,custom,no file extension box checked...it found dups...tryed same setting on the larger file twice and both times stuck on 2899 of.....on the last 2 times I changed from all files*.* (on main screen) to mp3 files........I will be going on 4 times with 54,000 files...I have home edition...Is it only good for 300,000 files checked??..because the second half of my music collection has about another 60-70,000 mp3's left...Trying to consolidate...This seems like a really good program with good opitions...I've tryed several others...Hope you guys can help me out.......Waiting to hear back....Thanks.....Jake

Dear Jake,

When you try to search MP3 duplicates on your small one artist folder (on your third trial and fourth trial), it seems that the tag insides this folder is the cause as you can search and found MP3 duplicates when you take the MP3 setting off. As you selected some searching conditions for the MP3 such as Artist and Album, NoClone will search based on this criteria and search with similarity algorithm/true-byte-to-byte algorithm, if one the tag does not match (For example, the Artist are the same but in different album), NoClone will not consider it as duplicates. Please try to uncheck all the MP3 settings and do a new search with similarity algorithm/true-byte-to-byte algorithm.
