Just downloaded NoClone Enterprise 2007. Installed and uninstalled and reinstalled and repaired. Always get the Database Connection Error. Jpg of error attached. Searched forums. MS net framework 2.0 refuses to reinstall because the applications are incompatible.

Sorry,
There are no files on my C: drive that are named NoClone 4.0\4.0.46. Here is what I have: C:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\Application Data\Reasonable Software House Ltd\NoClone 2007\4.1.42. I deleted files in that folder and ran the application again with the same results. Attached is the NoClone log for that attempt.

It looks like I did not get the NoClone log attached with my last post. Here it is printed out:

Dear Celear,
The problem caused is System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll is missing at c:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_System.EnterpriseServices_b03f5f7f11d50a3a_2.0.0.0_x-ww_7d5f3790\
You may need to reinstall .Net framework 2.0, or Copy System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll from C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727
to
C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_System.EnterpriseServices_b03f5f7f11d50a3a_2.0.0.0_x-ww_7d5f3790\

Sorry, Frank,
I followed your instructions and even removed and reinstalled NoClone 2007. Same result with the identical NoClone log (except for the date) as before.
I note that your forum post, http://support.reasonablesw.com/forums/301/ShowPost.aspx, refers to NoClone 4. I am trying to use NoClone 2007.

Dear Celear,
Thanks for your feedback. The error caused should be the file 'System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll' is corrupted or missing in your installed Microsoft .NET framework 2.0.
1. Please navigate to the following directory: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727 (Please note that the folder 'v2.0.50727' may be different according to the version of Microsoft .Net Framework you installed)
2. Search if the file 'System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll' exists.
3. If the file does not exists, please go to step 4. If the file is found, please rename the name into "System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll.bak' so you can recover it anytime. (To recover, plesae delete the pasted file and rename the file back to its original name)
4. Search the file 'System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll' under "C:\Windows\winsxs", please note that there may be more than one files found. Copy one of the files and paste it into the directory: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727
5. Restart NoClone and test.
6. In case it does not fixed, please reinstall .Net Framework 2.0 and delete the contents under the following directories: "C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Reasonable Software House Ltd\NoClone 2007\4.1.42' (Please note that the folder
'v4.1.42' may be different according to the version of Noclone you installed) The files will recreate when NoClone starts.
For more details, you can refer to the Microsoft Technet at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/963904
Please let me know if it helps.

Hi, today I tried the trial, worked fine, then I bought it, now I got the "database" error everyone else seems to have! I did request help by email, hope the problem can be solved. I've tried about everything on the forum, and reÎnstalling framework doesn't seem to be possible. When I uninstall and the try to reïnstall the program still seems to be on my computer, so installer quits?
If anyone has answers that might help, please ?
regards,
Alain

Calooh, Calay! It works now, but not because of any occult file changes that were suggested.
In attempting to reinstall .net Framework 2.0 (as suggested), the MS site suggested I update IE 8; which, I was running as a late beta. Now, I recall that when I was running an earlier beta of IE 8, some other applications had trouble running: i.e. Mcafee and TurboTax. When I switched back to IE 7, all the problems went away.
When the MS site suggested upgrading to the latest full version of IE 8, I had a hunch this might do the trick again. Well, post hoc ergo propter hoc; NoClone 2007 Enterprise now runs on my computer. Make of it what you will.
