Getting the 'Database connection error' message

I'm trying out NoClone on a pretty packed file server.

The thing is, I noticed that alot of our users create subdirectories for projects and then copy files into those, over and over. Ugh.

I scanned a "shared" area that has a total of something like 80 GB of data, and found about 12 GB of files that were duplicates. Great, I thought... I'll create hard links for those and call it a day.

But no such luck. With a result set of 18,410 groups (65,585 total files, 47.175 of which are marked duplicates), I start the "savespace" and then it gets up to about group 250-300 and gives me the error:
"Database connection error! Please try to restart NoClone."

Below that (why can't the error dialogue allow cut/paste?) is:
Unspecified error at System.Data.OleDb.OleDbConnectionInternal..ctor(OleDbConnectionString constr, OleDbConnection connection)

and so on. I tried re-regging the MSJET stuff like I saw in another thread about this same error, but that didn't help.

This is with NoClone 2007, 4.1.17.

The point at which it stops is never the same twice... always in a different place, sometimes after only a few dozen file groups, sometimes it makes it up above 300, but never much more than that.

Plus it'd be SO nice if it would clear out the ones it had already done so that I could at least run it again and have it pick up where it left off, but as it is, I have to run the same marked set of files and then tell it "no to all" so it doesn't retry the ones it already did. :(

I'm pretty disappointed with this program, it had such great promise, and everything else seems to work okay, it just crashes when you actually try and use it for it's main purpose...removing duplicate files.
