Excluded Folders are not respected !
Reply Quote
Hi !

Excluded folders remain disregarded !

Here are three samples :
A :

B :
http://pagesperso-orange.fr/jacques.prestreau/micro/noclone/bug_excluded_folders/ExcludedFolder2.png

C :
http://pagesperso-orange.fr/jacques.prestreau/micro/noclone/bug_excluded_folders/ExcludedFolder3.png

The reasons :

1. Noclone doesn't respect the case when we declare a folder. It converts immediatly in lower case in the setting window instead of keeping the original case ! :

B :

C :

2. When scanning, it compares strictly with the case recorded in its bad settings (above) instead of comparing by the usual syntax :

                          "if lowercase(scannedFolderName) = lowercase(excludedFolderName) then..."

This problem occurs since the first release of the version 4 and the result is very big lists with sometimes more than 75% items... in excluded folders !

Best regards,
Jacques

Unfortunatly, you have found out too late (as I did) that NoClone is software written by some highschool kid in his moms basement. When hard problems arise, they are unable to solve them.

I got ripped off last year after reading all teh PCMAG awards and such. The transition to .net didn't fare well I'm afraid.

Lick your wounds and go on...they wont give your money back. (I tried)
