In particular, NoClone uses byte-by-byte comparion instead of CRC and MD5 to returned files with totally identical contents. Smart marker is a time-saving feature that filteres duplicates for removal/arhival as Download.com editor said (http://noclone.net/rate.asp).
All files can be compared based on byte-by-byte comparison including music, video, photos and documents. In addition, we will add feature to compare specific file format e.g. images, mp3, Word documents etc.
CRC and MD5 is a hash value calculated to represent a file but duplicate values exist. Byte-by-byte comparison ensure that files with exact contents are returned.
Basically two limitations, out of stack error due to recursive search of files and out of memory when searching and comparing too many files say 300,000 files.

gudday!

im jasmin from philippines and currently having my research study. i find your product useful and functional in terms of its functions but nevertheless, it seems that it have some limitations that it possess. I choose noclone to be the model of the study on my research study.

Moreover my study will focus on enhancing noclone through embedding some codes to the application but definitely not making same application like the one you have..

for example...the current version of noclone im using right now is noclone version 3.2.32 and i found some limitations like: doesnt have the ability to schedule the scanning process..

so with that, im here asking to your permission if you could provide me documentation regarding the following matters.

(1) why use noclone instead other products?

(2)what particular file types being read by noclone?

(3)why should be using byte to byte comaparisons instead of CRC32/MD5

(4)what are the limitations of noclone version 3.2.32 (limitations on system requirements, on its task and other functions)

In addition i already talked to carlos, he said that i should contact you to ask if you can give me the code of noclone
