Same Song In Different Album - Will It Be Deleted?
|

I have sorted 2000 full albums into subfolders by: MY MUSIC >> ARTIST >> ALBUM
MY QUESTION: What if I have another album has the same song in it. Will NOCLONE think it is a duplicate and delete it?
I dont want it deleted as it will ruin the integrity of the complete album
EXAMPLE: "Alice in Chains" & "Best of Alice in Chains" or "This is The 90's" will have some of the same songs in the ALBUM subfolders. Duplicates of the songs may show up several times but it is not duplicated in the actual album folder.
Thanks in advance Chris

Unless you set it up to do so (and I'm not sure you can), NoClone, like most duplicate file finders, won't automatically delete anything. When it brings up the list of duplicate files you will see a song file and the folders it resides in - and if you see they are in separate (valid) album folders, you simply don't delete it.
If you have gone to the trouble of sorting that many albums I doubt you have any actual duplicates, apart from the example situation you have cited. So if you choose to include your "My music" folder in the search, just ignore any results that come up in that folder. Obviously any duplicates of songs within that folder that are residing somewhere else may be candidates for deletion.
