Thanks for your support as beta testers. It was a delay of the release of NoClone 4 because this version involves the architectural changes of NoClone. We have to tackle the basic limitations of NoClone in version 4 before adding new features:
- at most 300,000 files can be scanned at one single scan (out of memory error)
- stack overflow error
- compare files not larger than 2GB
- cannot read unicode file name
- compare maximun 256 same-sized files
Most of the limiations listed above are elimiated but still have to be optimized in beta 2. Here is enhancements in beta1 :
- Improved Smart Marker - sexy interface with tree view of folders to be marked plus sizable window
- Clear grouping of duplicate files
- Responsive search - easer to cancel
- New look
Beta 2: (to be released in the end of June)
- Compare mp3 tags
- Replace with hard links
- Other features in NoClone 3.2
